Azerbaijani ambassador to UAE meets with secretary general of Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry

Baku. Ibad Bagirov â€“ APA. Azerbaijani ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Elkhan Gahramanov met with secretary general of Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry Shahin Ali Shahin.

APA reports quoting WAM that Shahin Ali Shahin underlined the importance of strengthening the common efforts for increasing trade turnover between the two countries, increasing investments, making projects, using possible opportunities in Azerbaijan, especially in energy sector, construction, tourism, agricultural industry, infrastructure.

Elkhan Gahramanov said a number of laws had been applied for promotion of investments in Azerbaijan, new opportunities created for investors. The ambassador invited the companies of the United Arab Emirates to the Azerbaijan-UAE investment forum.

The sides discussed the mechanisms of the memorandum signed between Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation, UAEâ€™s support for Azerbaijanâ€™s efforts to enter the World Trade Organization, trade exhibitions, business, investment forums, issues on strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijani and UAE companies.
