The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev begins trip to South Caucasus tomorrow

He will meet the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Foreign Ministers, Parliament Speakers and representatives of political parties of the three countries, to discuss OSCE-related topics as well as bilateral and international matters. The OSCE official website doesnâ€™t report about the Saudabayevâ€™s meeting with the Georgian President.
The Chairperson-in-Office seeks to promote progress in the settlement of protracted conflicts in the region, said the website. â€œMinister Saudabayev will use the trip to reiterate OSCE support for the processes facilitated by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflictâ€.
In his meetings, Saudabayev will also discuss the role of the OSCE in supporting democratic processes in the countries, including in areas such as elections, the media environment and the implementation of legislative reforms.
