Turkey - Armenia protocols submitted to Armenian parliament

NA Speaker is due to appoint a committee within two days and the discussions will follow. According to the adopted procedure, following the ratification by the NA, Foreign Ministry is due to make a document on the protocols and submit it to Presidentâ€™s Office for signing. The document is prescribed by the stamp of the president and foreign ministerâ€™s signature. In the final stage, the documents are exchanged, marking their entry into force.

Note that Galust Sahakyan, head of the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia stated that it was a mere procedure. â€œThe Armenian National Assembly will not debate the Protocols unless the Turkish parliament ratifies them. Our patience wears thin. If Turkey goes on at that rate, signatures can be recalledâ€, said Sahakyan.
