Avigdor Lieberman: The Jewish community in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Diaspora in Israel play important role in the development of our relations

Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by Foreign Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman, the parliamentâ€™s press service told APA. Speaker noted that such visits had positive influence on the development of the relations. It was said that the talks held during the meetings of the presidents paved the way for the development of the relations. Ogtay Asadov said there were broad opportunities to deepen economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Asadov noted that the cooperation on the level of the parliaments also played important role in the development of the relations between the countries.

Avigdor Lieberman said he had visited Azerbaijan two years before, but it was his first visit to Azerbaijan in capacity of minister. He expressed his satisfaction with the development in Azerbaijan. Foreign Minister said Israel took great interest in the cooperation with independent Azerbaijan. He underlined that the Jewish community in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Diaspora in Israel played important role in the development of our relations.

The sides exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.
