Russian Minister of Culture: â€œAzerbaijani and Russian civil societies must develop their relationshipâ€ - <font color=red> PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. Participants of I Azerbaijan-Russia Forum on Humanitarian Cooperation visited Heydar Aliyevâ€™s memorial at the Alley of Honor and Alley of martyrs on Friday. According to APA, Russian Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeev told journalists that political-economic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are in a high level and civil societies also must develop their relationship. â€œThe civil societies in both Russia and Azerbaijan are developing dynamically. Intellectuals and cultural figures of both countries have good relationsâ€.

The minister highly appreciated participation of Azerbaijanis in the Russian culture and art. â€œWe are proud of Azerbaijanis who became outstanding figures of the Russian cultureâ€, said the minister. He underlined good attitude of Azerbaijanis to the Russian language and said sometimes Azerbaijani people were speaking in Russian better than Russians.

Baku hosts I Azerbaijan-Russia Forum on Humanitarian Cooperation on January 22-23. Chief of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Narishkin, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Avdeev, Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvidkoy, Chief of the Russian President Protocol Vladimir Shevchenko and other officials, as well as spouse of well-known figures, actors of Moscow Bolshoy Theater, Russian media managers and journalists are in the Russian delegation.

The forum was opened in a solemn ceremony at Mugham Center in Baku. Participants of the forum will continue discussions in the different sections after the ceremony.

On January 23, the Russian delegation will visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Baku branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Russian ITAR-TASS news agency will present photo-exhibition â€œRussia and Azerbaijan: from the past to the futureâ€ within the framework of the forum.
