Victor Yushchenkoâ€™s election staff: Presidential elections were democratic and transparent

Deputy chairman of the Yushchenkoâ€™s election staff Roman Bessmertniy said they received results coincided with the report of the Central Election Commission, APA reports quoting Ukrainskaya Pravda: â€œThere were few violations which didnâ€™t effect on the results of the voting. The elections were successfulâ€.

Bessmertniy said Yushchenko-led Our Ukraine Party would determine its further steps this week. He said the partyâ€™s Council Presidium would decide on January 20-22 to support the candidates in the second round or not. â€œWe are working on the alternative developmentâ€.

Leader of the Party of Regions Victor Yanukovich won more than 35% of the votes in the presidential elections in Ukraine and Prime Minister Julia Tymoshenko â€“ 25%. They both run to the second round of the elections. Yushcneko gained 5.5% and became fifth among the candidates.
