France calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to reach agreement on Nagorno Karabakh conflict soon and to describe it in document

Kouchner said there were strong basis to reach solution to the conflicts of Nagorno Karabakh and Transdniestria, APA correspondent reports from Athens. He emphasized that important steps were made toward the solution to the conflict by the efforts of the Minsk Group, as well as Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents. â€œThe presidents met for six times this year only. We hope that the progress will be reached in Athens too and the conflict will be solved soon. I call on the foreign ministers of both countries to reach an agreement on the solution to the conflict and to describe it in the documentâ€.

Touching upon the Russian president Dmitriy Medvedevâ€™s proposal about the European security system, the minister said France was one of the countries supporting this proposal. â€œSolution to the old conflicts and prevention of new threats is one of the main directions of this security systemâ€.
