Milli Mejlis Speaker Ogtay Asadov meets with Turkeyâ€™s opposition MPs

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Speaker of Milli Mejlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Ogtay Asadov met with the members of the Turkish parliament from the Republican Peopleâ€™s Party (CHP) and National Movement Party (MHP), press service of the parliament told APA. Ogtay Asadov said Azerbaijan had always seen Turkey as friendly and fraternal country. He said there were no forces or political pressures, which could shadow friendship and strategic alliance between the two brother peoples. â€œWe believe that Turkey will never take an action to aggrieve Azerbaijanâ€.

The guests also said that it was impossible for Turkey to take any action without consideration of Azerbaijani interests. â€œThe Turkish public community will not allow it. Ninety-five percent of the Turkish community is protesting against the opening of borders with Armeniaâ€.
