A total of 40 people were readmitted to Azerbaijan in June this year under the readmission agreements signed and currently in force by the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Migration Service told APA.
According to the information, the individuals were readmitted from European countries.
"During June this year, 7,600 applications were submitted for obtaining (or extending) temporary residence permits, while 414 applications were received for obtaining (or extending) permanent residence permits. During the same period, 902 applications were submitted for obtaining or extending work permits for foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid employment in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In June 2026, 41,156 applications were received for the registration of foreigners and stateless persons at their place of stay in Azerbaijan. During the same period, the State Migration Service adopted 1,836 administrative decisions related to violations of migration legislation. We also note that the State Migration Service issued 187 decisions on the administrative expulsion of foreigners from the country in June this year, bringing the total number of such decisions to 850 during the first six months of the year," the statement said.
