Mahmoud Mammadguliyev: â€œTurkey-Armenia relations must be restored in coherence with solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€

Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijan follows the developments of restoration of the Turkey-Armenia relations and considers that this process must be in coherence with the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmoud Mammadguliyev, who is attending the meeting of foreign ministers of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSECO) in Armenia. He said Azerbaijan considered the Turkey-Armenia talks as a domestic issue of both countries. â€œAzerbaijan takes the position not to interfere into the domestic issues of other countries. We are watching this process because of unresolved problems between Azerbaijan and Armeniaâ€. The deputy minister said restoration of the Turkey-Armenia relations could be only in coherence with the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He said relations between the two countries were cut because of occupation of Azerbaijani lands.

Mammadguliyev said they were ready to review the Turkeyâ€™s proposals on the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict. â€œTurkey is a member of OSCE Minsk Group and one of the serious regional players. If Turkey wants to contribute to the solution to conflict, Azerbaijan is ready to review it and to support the proposals according with its interestsâ€.
