APA reports that while discussing the current issues, the parliamentarians expressed their opinion on the reopening of Turkey-Armenia borders. They protested against the reopening of the borders.

Igbal Agazadeh said Turkish society was together with Azerbaijan.
“But the issue on the reopening of the borders caused right concern in Azerbaijan. Iranian televisions show ironic materials against Azerbaijan,” he said.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov mentioned Heydar Aliyev’s words “One nation, two states” and said the brotherhood of nations was eternal.
MP Mubariz Gurbanli said Azerbaijan’s concern over the reopening of Turkey-Armenia borders was not accidental.

“The Turkish are also concerned over the occupation of our territories. I believe that the borders will not be reopened, unless Karabakh is liberated. The unique position of our peoples once more proved that we are “one nation, two states”,” MP Ali Ahmadov said.
MP Jamil Hasanli said no one should forget that Turkish soldiers were once killed for Azerbaijani lands.
“The campaigns against Turkey should be stopped,” he said.

Ogtay Asadov said everybody should express own opinion and there was no question of campaign. “Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples are united. We are expressing our concern. They say the Turkish soldiers shed blood for liberation of Baku. How could it be? We are Turks. Do the brothers need each other? Three thousand Azerbaijanis became martyrs for Turkey. Our women donated their gold things for Turkey. Don’t’ forget it”.
MP Aydin Mirzazadeh noted that talks over the opening of borders caused concerns because it is going between the occupant and friendly countries. “They are holding secret talks for six months, but they publicized it after the pressures”. The lawmaker said statements by the Turkish authorities satisfied them.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said Jamil Hasanli’s speech didn’t contribute to the national interests of Azerbaijan. “These protests have not a campaign character. They are constructing road from Kars to Armenia. How we can not par attention to this? 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands are under occupation, but Abdullah Gul visited Armenia to watch football match together with Armenian president. How we cannot concern over this?”
MP Siyavush Novruzov also underlined the fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Even brothers can be aggrieved with each other. Everybody is protesting it, everybody is picketing. There is no need to separate us. Some people are writing against Turkey. It seems those have mixed origin”.
Then lawmakers continued to discuss the issues on agenda.
