President Ilham Aliyev receives President of BP-Azerbaijan Bill Schrader

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by President of BP-Azerbaijan Bill Schrader on April 13, Presidentâ€™s press service told APA. The head of state congratulated him on the 100th anniversary of BP and regarded it as an important date not only in the life of BP, but also in the history of oil industry.

Touching on 15-year successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP, President said the cooperation offered broad opportunities for the cooperation in the Caspian region. He regarded the cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP as a good example of cooperation between an influential company and a state.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that good partnership of Azerbaijani government bodies and companies with BP would serve the mutual interests.

Bill Schrader said Azerbaijanâ€™s oil industry had a great history, the country gained important achievements within 15 years, BP had also contributed to that development. He said BP chief executive Tony Hayward and executive vice president Andrew Inglis assess Azerbaijan as a model of real success in the world. Bill Schrader expressed his confidence that BP will continue successful cooperation with Azerbaijan.
