Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev: Ukraine is one of the most reliable partners of Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine issued a media statement, Presidentâ€™s press service told APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Ukrainian President was satisfied with the outcomes of his visit to Azerbaijan, talks and the exchange of views.
â€œWe exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest. The relations between our countries in various spheres were profoundly analyzed. We touched on regional problems, discussed regional cooperation and prospects of the cooperation on Eastern Partnership project within the framework of the European Union,â€ he said.
Ilham Aliyev noted that the first meeting of the Presidentsâ€™ Council had focused on mutual political relations, economic cooperation, energy, transport and military-technical cooperation.
â€œWe expressed unique position in all the discussions. The main thing is that strategic partnership is successfully continuing between our countries. These relations are in line with the national interests of Azerbaijan and we consider Ukraine one of our most reliable partners in the world. We are grateful to Ukrainian President and state for the support we feel in the international organizations, as well as in the United Nations. Azerbaijani people are grateful to Ukraine for its principal and fair position in the voting concerning the issue on the situation in the occupied Azerbaijani territories,â€ the president said.
The head of state expressed his confidence that as in the previous years, all the discussed tasks will be accurately fulfilled.
