President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva welcomed President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and his wife Kateryna Yushchenko.
After the official welcoming ceremony, the presidents held tete-a-tete meeting and expressed satisfaction with the successful development of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations. The heads of states emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits in the extension of bilateral relations. They said the documents to be signed during the visit would create good basis for deepening of relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The presidents expressed confidence in further development of relations between the two countries.
