Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko arrives in Azerbaijan

The delegation includes Acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Khandogiy, Defense Minister Yuri Yekhanurov, Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Botsun, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Secretariat Andrey Goncharuk, presidentâ€™s special representatives on international energy security Bogdan Sokolovski, Deputy Chairman of Naftogaz Management Board Vadim Chuprun, First Deputy Director General of the National Cosmic Agency Valeri Komarov, chairman of Volynsk state province administration Nikolai Romanyuk, rector of Kiev National University named after Taras Shevchenko Leonid Guberskiy.
The main part of the official visit is the first meeting of the Council of Ukrainian and Azerbaijani presidents.
Ukraine and Azerbaijan will sign final protocol on the outcomes of the meeting, Road Map for Ukraine-Azerbaijan cooperation in 2009-2010, protocol on the amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation signed on March 24, 1997, document on interregional cooperation and plan of consultations between Foreign Ministries for 2009-2010.
Viktor Yushchenko will meet with President Ilham Aliyev and speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov, make speech in Baku Slavic University and attend the unveiling of memorial plaque on the building, where the first diplomatic mission of Ukrainian Peopleâ€™s Republic to Azerbaijan in 1919-1920 located.
