Annual inflation in Türkiye has decreased once again, APA-Economics reports, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
The annual inflation rate in August of this year was 32.95%. In July, this figure was 33.52%. In August, consumer prices increased by 2.04% compared to the previous month.
Note that over the past year, a 33.28% increase was observed in food and non-alcoholic beverages, 24.86% in transportation, and 53.27% in housing.
Recall that in Türkiye, inflation reached its highest level in 24 years in October 2022 at 85.5%, while last year the highest level of this indicator was recorded in May at 75.45%.
