Total volume of transfers from Azerbaijani State Oil Fund to state budget exceeded AZN 163 billion

The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has transferred a total of AZN 163,172.4 million to the state budget as of June 30, 2025, APA-Economics reports citing the State Oil Fund.

Note that during January-June of this year, within the framework of the implementation of SOFAZ’s 2025 budget, AZN 7,240.5 million was transferred to the state budget.

Additionally, as of June 30, 2025, SOFAZ’s assets amounted to USD 66,515.6 million, an increase of 10.8% compared to the beginning of the year (USD 60,031.4 ).

Recall that SOFAZ was established on December 29, 1999. The Fund is a special institution that ensures the accumulation, efficient management, and preservation of revenues obtained from oil and gas for future generations. SOFAZ is an extra-budgetary, separate state institution. Transparency is one of the main principles of SOFAZ’s activities. During this period, SOFAZ has institutionally developed at a high level and has become an international-level financial organization.
