Kazakhstan became the world’s largest gold buyer again by purchasing approximately 8 tons of gold in August, APA reports, citing the World Gold Council.
According to the data, in 2025, the country’s gold reserves increased by 32 tons, reaching a total of 316 tons. In August alone, Kazakhstan purchased more than half of the total 15 tons of gold purchased.
The countries that sold gold in August were Russia (3 tons) and Indonesia (2 tons).
