The exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will increase to 8.275 billion dollars by 2028, "APA-Economics" reports citing IMF's statement on the results of the Article IV consultations with the Azerbaijani government from May 25 to June 7.
Notably, as of June 30 of this year, the exchange reserves of the Central Bank amounted to 7.371 billion dollars (a 4.2% increase in the first half of the year). In other words, the CBA's reserves will increase by 12.2% in 2022-2027.
According to IMF forecasts, the Central Bank's exchange reserves will amount to 7.275 billion (2.8% more than in 2021) at the end of 2022. The statement emphasized that in 2023-2027, the annual growth of the CBA's foreign exchange reserves will amount to 200 million.
