A delegation led by the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has left for Washington, D.C., the United States, on a working visit to attend the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), CBA told APA-Economics.
The Annual Meetings, scheduled for October 13–18, will include the participation of the CBA delegation in the meeting of the Selection Group to which Azerbaijan belongs, as well as in events attended by the finance ministers and central bank governors of the Caucasus, Middle East, and Central Asia countries. The delegation will also hold meetings with senior officials of the WB and the IMF.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation is also expected to hold bilateral meetings and discussions with the heads of several foreign central banks and financial institutions.
Note that the Annual Meetings organized by the WB and IMF bring together senior representatives of the public and private sectors, international organizations, civil society, and academia to discuss global and regional challenges.
