"It is expected that in 2029, the current expenditures of the state budget will be fully covered by non-oil and gas revenues. This will be possible not only due to the increase in non-oil revenues but also through the optimization of current expenditures," APA-Economics reports.
This information is reflected in the "Medium-Term Expenditure Framework for 2026–2029" prepared by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the information, in 2026 it is expected that 88.1% of the current expenditures of the state budget will be covered by non-oil and gas revenues. This figure is projected to increase to 95.2% in 2027, 98.7% in 2028, and 101.5% in 2029.
During the same period, the growth rate of current expenditures will be 1.65% in 2026, -0.5% in 2027, 2.3% in 2028, and 2.5% in 2029.
