The International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB) has completed the transaction to acquire a controlling stake in Uzbekistan's Davr-Bank JSC, APA-Economics reports, citing S&P Global Ratings' rating assessment of Davr-Bank.
It was reported that on September 10, 2026, ABB acquired 51% of Davr-Bank's issued shares.
S&P considers Davr-Bank to have become a strategically important subsidiary for ABB. According to the agency, the bank accounts for 10–12% of the ABB group's total assets.
Following the transaction, Davr-Bank is planned to be renamed “ABB Davr-Bank”.
