NBCBank to issue 1 500 VISA cards this year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s NBCBank plans to issue 1 500 VISA cards in 2009, said Yusif Abdullayev, deputy chairman of the bank.
He added that technical procedures and test of the system have been completed.
According to him, 1 200 of the cards will be credit cards and 300 credit cards.
The bank has to date issued about 1 500 MasterCard cards.
As of January 1, the bankâ€™s assets stood at AZN 39.832million, loan portfolio at AZN 34.158 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 5.351 million, total capital at AZN 14.652 million and authorized capital at AZN 13.589 million.
Established in 1992, Ruzi Bank was renamed as NBCBank in 2002.
