AtaBank gets 38% rise in assets last year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, AtaBank posted its assets at AZN 152.844 million, up 38% from a year ago.
The bank said loan portfolio grew by 40% to AZN 98.662 million, term deposits rose by 12% to AZN 83.447 million and individualsâ€™ term deposits increased by 25% to AZN 56.582 million.
For 2008, net profit more than doubled (2.1 times) to AZN 5.332 million and authorized capital grew by 30.4% to AZN 15 million.
Besides, the bankâ€™s PS terminals increased by 75% in number to 285.
AtaBank established three branches, bringing the number of its branches to 18.
AtaBank has been in operation since 1993.
