Royal Bank expands ATM and POS terminal coverage

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Royal Bank plans to increase the number of its ATMs by 21% to 35.
Farid Hasanov, the card business officer of the bank, said the bank has already awarded a contract for the delivery of 6 ATMs.
“NCR ATMs, made in Hungary, will be delivered on March 15 and deployed at business and trade outlets in Baku. We also plan to increase the number of POS terminals by 83% to 150,” he added.
As at January 1, Royal Bank’s assets stood at AZN 101.926 million, loan portfolio at AZN 78.764, deposit portfolio at AZN 36.085million, total capital at AZN 17.853 million and authorized capital at AZN 16.912 million.
Royal Bank (so named in 2008) was established by a U.S. citizen in 1993 as OZ Bank which was renamed as Royal Bank of Baku in 2003
