Azerbaijani Finance Minister ends visit to Czech Republic

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Finance Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov ended his official visit to Czech Republic at the invitation of his Czech counterpart. Sharifov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czech Export Bank Lubomir Pokorny discussed the activity of Czech companies in Azerbaijan and assistance of the Czech Export Bank to their activity. At the meeting with the Czech Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek, they focused on the economic and financial relations between Czech Republic and Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities for cooperation between the finance ministries of both countries, and strengthening of legislative basis.
Sharifov informed about the reforms in the financial sector of Azerbaijan and measures take in the country during the global economic crisis.
Sharifov was received by the Czech Senate Chairman Premysl Sobotka. The topical issues of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic, as well as forms of the future cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
The minister met with the authorities of the Czech companies operated in Azerbaijan.
