National Bank of Azerbaijan posts foreign liabilities at historical low

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. The National Bank of Azerbaijan has posted its net foreign assets at 5 071.7 million as at February 1, up 23.4% on a year ago.
The central bankâ€™s total international assets reached AZN 5 134.6 million, up 22.6% on a year earlier.
During this period, foreign liabilities dropped 27.6% to AZN 60.7 million, a historical low.
During January, net foreign assets fell by 0.8% or AZN 41 million, total foreign assets dropped by AZN 45.6 million or 0.9% and foreign liabilities decreased by AZN 4.2 million or 6.5%.
