Average interest rates on home-currency loans start to move up in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vugar Israfilov – APA-Economics. The average interest rate on home-currency loans started to increase on the interbank money market of Azerbaijan last week.
Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX) said the average rate on interbank loans in the national currency increased by 0.31 percentage points from February 16-20.
The main indicator of the money market BakIBOR index went up to 15.57% from 15.33%.
The National Bank of Azerbaijan’ cut the refinancing rate to 5% in early February.
