Tomasz Telma: IFC stands ready to supply Azerbaijanâ€™s demand for money

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, stands ready to supply Azerbaijanâ€™s demand for money during the global financial crisis, said Tomasz Telma, the IFC’s Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
He noted that the Government of Azerbaijan will clarify the next steps over the next few months â€“ whether to increase the money supply or cut costs.
â€œThe indicators suggested that Azerbaijanâ€™s growth rate slowed down. Azerbaijan should assess how much the growth rate declined and choose a way out of the situation,â€ hr added.
He added that the number of countries knocking at the IFCâ€™s door for money increased due to the crisis.
According to him, IFC is ready to meet the interest of Azerbaijan given the countryâ€™s increasing demand.
