Gunay Bank joins Bulk Clearing Settlement System

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Gunay Bank has joined the Bulk Clearing Settlement System (BCSS).
Vugar Mirheydarov, the Deputy Chairman of the Bank, said this system allows collecting utilities bills from customers.
The bank also uses Western Union, SWIFT, Migom and AZÄ°PS.
There are two major payment systems in Azerbaijan: the Azerbaijan Interbank Payment System (AZIPS) for large value and high priority payments, and the Bulk Clearing Settlement System (BCSS) for low value payments. Both are operated by the National Bank of Azerbaijan and are available only for transactions denominated in the local currency, the new manat (AZN)
Batch processing is the main feature of the BCSS.
