Cash accounts for 68% of money supply in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, the share of cash money supply in manat (the home currency) reached 68.2% in Azerbaijan, up 6.5% on a year ago.
The National Bank of Azerbaijan said cash supply made AZN 4.149 billion given that the money supply reached AZN 6.081 billion as at January 1.
By practice, the share of cash supply is 5-10% in he developed economies and 3-40% in developing economies.
This shows that cash money plays excessive role in the economy, settlement, payment, transfers and other fields. Cash money supply has continued to grew over the past two years.
