UniBank attracted term deposits totaling AZN 71 million last year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Unibank attracted retail term deposits in the total amount of AZN 71 mn in 2008.
â€˜We were attracting the Term, Progressive and Accumulation term deposits last year and they totalled at AZN 70,974 mn,â€™ says Rashad Mahilov, the Retail Service Manager with Unibank, â€˜It should be mentioned that the attraction of deposits peaked at the two major campaigns that Unibank undertook last year, namely, the Diamond Deposit and the Summer Benefit. The Diamond Deposit alone brought the retail deposits in the total amount of AZN 54,186 mn.â€™
As at January 1, Azerbaijan-based UniBank posted its assets at AZN 417.563 million, loan portfolio at AZN 319.247 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 123.671 million, total equity capital at AZN 64.064 million and share capital at AZN 15 million.
UniBank operates 22 branches, 22 bureaus of exchange, 57 ATMs and 231 POS-terminals across the country.
UniBank is owned by the EBRD (15.15%), DEG Investment Corporation (8.33%), legal entities (0.9%) and individuals (75.62%).
