Azerbaijan gets rise in insured deposits

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has completed collection of the regular calendar payments for the fourth quarter from the member banks.
The Fund said collections in the three main deposit currencies respectively made AZN 870 000 in the national currency, $868 million in the USD and â‚¬135 000 in the euro.
The Fund has to date collected AZN 11 168 501 in calendar payments, including membership dues.
The total amount of deposits put by individuals in the member banks rose AZN 1.711 billion, including the amount of uninsured deposits increased to AZN 337.788 million, insured deposits rose to AZN 1.373 billion and the number of insured deposit holders reached 1 296 818 people.
Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has been in operation since August 13, 2007 and has 39 bank members.
