Global crisis threatens $17 billion bonds

Baku-APA-Economics. Global financial turmoil is threatening the repayment of A$27 billion ($17 billion) worth of bonds maturing this year, pressuring companies to conduct deeply discounted equity raisings, the Australian Financial Review said.
The biggest challenge for businesses was the repayment of large capital market borrowing, the newspaper said citing Commonwealth Bank of Australia Chief Financial Officer David Craig, Bloomberg reports.
