Azerbaijan-based banks increase assets by 13%

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. As of July 1, 2012, Azerbaijan-based banksâ€™ assets stood at AZN 14,778.79 mln. The assets rose AZN 1.638 bln or 12.5% compared with a year earlier, AZN 831.98 mln or 6% from early 2012.

The loan given to customers made AZN 9,642.4 mln (share 65.2%), correspondent accounts were AZN 1,062.4 mln (7,2%), investments â€“ AZN 1.294.6 mln (8.8%), cash â€“ AZN 619.6 mln (4.2%), loan and deposits given to financial sector â€“ AZN 647.2 mln (4.4%), other assets â€“ AZN 1,512.6 mln (10.2%).

85.0% of commercial banksâ€™ passives were liabilities. The liabilities made AZN 12,555.6 mln. Of this, AZN 6,823.1 mln was deposit, AZN 4,539.9 mln loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,192.5 mln â€“ other liabilities.

Total capital made AZN 2,223.2 mln
