Bank deposits fall in January in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. As of February 1, 2012, the volume of deposits placed at the existing credit institutions in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 9,281.2 mln, up AZN 1,959.9 mln or 26.8% compared to last year. At the same time, the volume of deposits fell by AZN 165.8 mln or 1.8% in January.

AZN 4,179.5 mln or 45.0% in the structure of deposits made households deposits. The volume of deposits within last year increased by AZN 1107.4 mln or 36%.

At the same time, as of February 1, the volume of corporate deposits amounted to AZN 5,101.8 mln. This figure rose AZN 852.7 million or 20.1% within the last year. At the same time, AZN 225.3 mln or 4.2% decrease was observed in January.

AZN 2,529.7 mln or 49.6% of deposits belonged to financial organizations, AZN 2,572.1 mln or 50.4% - non-financial organizations.
