ERC: Annual inflation made 8.23% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Economic Research Center (ERC) presents the results of prices of statistical observation conducted in 10 regions of Azerbaijan in February, 2012.

The results of statistical observations show that the consumer price index has been increased by 0.31 % in February, in Azerbaijan. During this time the price of food products increased by 0.43 %, while price non-food products went down by 0.17%, meanwhile the services cheapened by 0.59%.

In February, prices rose 0.40% in Baku and 0.22% in regions. Moreover, price food products increased by 0.57% in Baku, by 0.32% in regions. Price of non-food products decreased by 0.22% and by 0.13%, and price of services increased by 0.82% and by 0.37%.

During January-February this year, consumer prices wnet up 0.57%, food prices rose 1.24%, meanwhile prices of non-food produts slipped 1.045, services soared 0.83%. Within two months 0.86% inflation was observed in Baku and 0.28% in the regions.

Compared to last year, 8.23%-price rise was observed in the country. The highest inflation during this peirod was observed in food products (13.11%). This figure made 1.02% on non-food products and 5.05% on services.
