Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. In January, 2012, AZN 1.350 mln premiums on voluntary insurance of real estate were collected in Azerbaijan, up 39% from year earlier.
According to APA-Economics, the payments on voluntary property insurance rose by 3.5 times to AZN 375,900 during the same period.
At the same time, AZN 284,800 was collected on compulsory property insurance in January. AZN 268,200 of this came from Compulsory insurance of real estate, AZN 16,600 – from compulsory insurance of civil responsibility on exploitation of real estate. No compulsory insurance payments were implemented in January.
Most of premiums belonged to AXA-Mbask, Ateshgah Sigorta, Standard Insurance, Azersigort, AzSigorta and International Insurance Company.
Note that, Azerbaijan-based insurers collected AZN 37.002 mln insurance premiums, paid AZN 4.400 mln in January, 2012.
