Russia can obtain some data about accounts of Russian citizens in Swiss banks

Baku - APA-Economics. Russia and Switzerland have signed a bank agreement under which Russian authorities may obtain some data about the accounts of Russian citizens in Swiss banks.

The document was signed by Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin and head of the Swiss financial department Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf in Washington.

It document specifies how tax authorities should submit request on the information regarding tax evasions.

For the first time President Dmitry Medvedev voiced an option for signing such an agreement during his visit to Switzerland two years ago.
