PASHA Life Insurance insures about 200,000 employees on new type of compulsory insurance

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. AZN 6.848 mln insurance premiums have been collected during January-August, 2011, by Azerbaijan’s PASHA Life Insurance. The volume of insurance payments made AZN 86.253 mln during the same period.

Board chairman Mursal Rustamov told APA that AZN 6.678 mln premiums were collected on “Compulsory insurance on loss of occupational disability as a result of industrial accidents and occupational diseases”, AZN 169 mln – “Insurance against death”. The share of these types of insurance in total insurance premiums made 97.5% and 2.5% respectively.

Rustamov said that PASHA Life Insurance signed about 370 insurance contracts on “Compulsory insurance on loss of occupational disability as a result of industrial accidents and occupational diseases” so far. Nearly 200,000 employees have been insured on these contracts by PASHA Life Insurance.

Note that, PASHA Life Insurance was registered in November of 2010. As of September 1, 2011, authorized capital of the company made AZN 7 mln.
