Azerbaijan sees sharp rise in positive balance on current transfers

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. The total amount of transactions on current transfers with foreign countries made AZN $ 1,443.1 mln, in January-June, 2011, in Azerbaijan. AZN 890.3 mln or 61.75 of these are premiums, AZN 552.8 mln or 38.3% - transfers to the country abroad, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA.

94.4% of total premiums on current transfer are money orders which transferred to individual persons from abroad, 1.8% importing humanitarian goods, 3.8% other premiums.

The positive balance of transaction on current transfers makes $ 337.5 mln, up by 1.6 times compared with a year ago.
