Azersighorta gets 3% rise in premium collection year-on-year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The volume of premiums collected by Azersigorta State Insurance commercial company in January-August, 2011, amounted to AZN 17.518 mln or 3.1% over the same period last year.

Companyâ€™s official Asif Ismailov told APA that, the structure of the main contributions to the amount of funds received under the â€œIndividual insurance accident and sicknessâ€ (AZN 1.036 mln), â€œCivil liability insurance of vehicle ownersâ€ (AZN 0.744 mln) â€œCASCOâ€ (AZN 0.310mln), â€œProperty Insurance of agencies and organizationsâ€ (AZN 0.220 mln).

Ismailov said that the major insurance premiums were collected on â€œCompulsory insurance of servicemenâ€.

The amount of funds paid on insured events increased by 10% to AZN 7.767 mln. The largest amount of funds received under the â€œInsurance of buildingsâ€ (AZN 0.638 mln), â€œCASCOâ€ (AZN 0.315 mln), â€œCivil liability insurance of vehicle ownersâ€ (AZN 0.166 mln).

Note that, during the reporting period, total insurance premiums collected by the company on compulsory insurance, amounted to AZN 15 million and the payments on these types - AZN 5 million. Collectionfor voluntary insurance types made AZN 2.426 mln, and payments - AZN 1.699 mln.
