Bank of Azerbaijan sees 20% growth in assets year-on-year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2010, Azerbaijan-based Bank of Azerbaijanâ€™s assets stood at AZN 166.119 mln, up by 19.9% compared with a year ago.

Bank says, deposit portfolio down by 8.1% to AZN 74.425 mln, populationâ€™s deposits 16% decreased to AZN 63.801mln. Loan portfolio rose by 33.6% to AZN 155.092 mln, consumption loans 23.1% increased to AZN 17.959 mln. Total capital 11% declined to AZN 18.015 mln, authorized capital remained unchanged at AZN 15 mln.

Revenue grew by 8% to AZN 4.792 mln, expenditure soared 9.7% to AZN 5.053 mln. Bankâ€™s loss rose by 50.3% to AZN 260 000.

Bank of Azerbaijan has been in operation since 1993. Bank operates 16 branches, 26 ATMs and 149 POS-terminals.
