Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The total of deposits put with Azeri banks by Azerbaijani nationals amounted to AZN 2.4 billion at March 1, 2010, up 33.5% from the same period last year.
The State Statistical Committee told APA-ECONOMICS that AZN 1 029.7 mln (42.5%) of the deposits were saved in national currency and AZN1 393,1 mln (57.5%) in foreign currencies, rose by 26% and 39.7% from the same period last year.
In March the US dollar was trading at AZN 0.80 and euro was trading at AZN 1.09 and 100 rubles at AZN 2.72.
