Baku – APA-Economics. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reportedly raised the forecast for global economic growth. As per a draft of its next World Economic Outlook, the global economy could grow 4.1% this year, up 0.2% over the previous forecast, India Infoline.com reported.

The US economy is now expected to grow 3% in 2010, instead of the 2.7% forecast in the IMF’s January report, according to published reports.

The IMF is due to publish its next World Economic Outlook on April 21.

The euro zone growth this year is now forecast to be 0.8%, down 0.1% from January’s estimate. In 2011, the figure is seen at 1.5%, also down 0.1%, the reports said.

Europe’s biggest economy, Germany, is expected to report a 1.2% rise in GDP in 2010 and 1.7% in 2011, the IMF draft says. Those figures are down 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively from the January forecast.
