Azerbaijanâ€™s budget surplus down 14%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget revenue was AZN 973 million, expenditure AZN320.4 million and surplus AZN 652.6 million for January, 2010 said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the SSC, the budget expenditure down 2.5%, expenditures up 32.7% and surplus down 13.6% from a year ago.

Tax incomes came 30.5% from VAT, 51.4% from income tax of the juridical persons, 5.9% from income tax of the physical persons 6.5% from excise tax and 1.8% from foreign economic activities.

Expenditure went 18.4% to investments in the national economy, 51.6% to social protection and security and 6.5% to education and healthcare.

Salaries earned by the population accounted for 60.2% (AZN 193 mln) of the total expenditure.
