Javanshir Abdullayev: No defaulter threat for Azerbaijan’s banking sector

Baku. Elnur Huseynguliyev – APA-Economics. There is no defaulter threat for the banks operated in Azerbaijan due to global financial crisis, said director of Azerbaijan Banking Education Center Javanshir Abdullayev, APA-Economics reports.
Abdullayev said Azerbaijan’s banking sector had enough liquidity and it would continue by the end of the year. “Due to excessive liquidity the banking sector of the country will focus on reduction of rate of interest on deposits and loans because the banks demonstrate special carefulness about the investment of resources. It will lead to increase of deposit portfolio, especially extension of insured part of deposits, at the same time high level of risks will lead to the reduction of rate of interest on depositsâ€.
