Parabank posts surging financials for 2009

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, Azerbaijan-based Parabank posted its assets at AZN 88.571 million, up 35.12% from a year ago.

The bank said loan portfolio increased by 39.95% year-on-year to AZN 59.222 million, deposit portfolio rose by 57.16% to AZN 56.428 million and consumer loans increased by 6.02% to AZN 30.522 million.

Revenue grew by 34.91% to AZN 13.647 million and expenditure by 21.77% to AZN 13.311 million. Profit made AZN 356 000.

Total capital dropped by 6.62% to AZN 11.535 million while authorized capital remained steady at AZN 10.070 million.

Owned by 23 individuals, Parabank has been in operation since 1991.

It operates 15 branches, 10 ATMs and 126 POS terminals across the country.
