Azerbaijan sees foreign trade surplus declined fivefold

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign trade surplus during last year totaled $20 818 221 200 with exports of $ 14 698 496 600 and imports of $6 119 724 700 , said the State Customs Committee.

The trade surplus was 5-fold down from a year ago.

As against the same period last year, exports declined by 69.22% and imports by 14.64% year-on-year.

$28 392 300 worth of humanitarian goods and technical assistance were brought to the country.

Oil and oil products accounted for the bulk of the exports (81.57%).

The countryâ€™s main trade partners in exports are Italy (25.77%), the United States (11.88%), France (9.02%) and in imports are Russia (17.50%), Turkey (14.80%) and Germany (9%).
