Azersigorta sees 19% rise in insurance premiums

Baku. Elnur Huseynguliyev– APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based state-owned Azersigorta Insurance Company earned AZN 26 million in insurance premiums during 2009, up 19.2% from a year ago, said Afgan Mirzayev, officer of the company.
Payment for insurance claims increased 6.2% year-on-year to AZN 12 million.
In his words, premiums and claims came most from individual accident and health insurance and Casco vehicle insurance.
Established in 1991, Azersigorta provides 8 compulsory and 20 voluntary types of insurance services.
